Using Bonding for Crafts

This is a How-To based on a Listing for Bonding material I have listed on Trademe.

I am going to show you how I use this bonding in my craft project.

Below is a picture that consists of at top left the bonding, the fabric to cut out and the background fabric.

As you see in the picture I have cut the pattern from the fabric I want to bond, which is a lovely apple shape. With your bonding material, trace the cut-out and cut them out, as many as you require. I cut four for my four lovely apples.

Take your background fabric, in my case, its the corduroy green fabric, center one of the apple shape in the middle of the fabric piece, make sure you don't count your seam allowance in, as when you sew it up, your apple might not look center. Place the apple shape bonding in between those two fabrics, the apple shape and the fabric background.

Then bring your work to the ironing board, Place a piece of calico or other cotton fabric as a protection between your work and the iron, and try from the lowest temperature work on to the highest temperature, don't shortcut and go to high volume first, we want a good looking project.

Then we bring it to the sewing machine, Set the machine at zig zag stitch and satin stitch device (im using a semi-industrial bernina, you might not have satin stitch device, but if you do, good on you!-high five!) Or to the hand-sewers, you can do blanket stiching! all around your patchwork goodies.

So stitch it along the edge of the apple shape or the shape you are using with.

It shall look like this, or better than this . Then you can make it up into pouches or pencil case, or make-up bag or many other exciting crafts.
Best wishes from Mynrose, for all your exciting craft ventures using the bonding I'm supplying at a limited time only. Only while stocks last. Visit my listing in Trademe, top right corner scroll down and look for my trademe shop. :) Au Revoir~

I wanna be myself.

Have you ever thought you are so subdued to just being who you think you are, you forgot your own voice, inside of you, deep in the corner of your heart. I have realised the inner me is absolutely powerful at this time, and I just want to say, there are times when you need to believe and trust on the unseen. The Universe, God, or whatever you choose to belief in, When you think you CAN'T you're right. But when you think you CAN you're DAMN Right!

I analyse too much for all this years. And I figure this time, I just do it. If its wrong, I'll do it again. Don't dwell, dont hesitate. JUST DO IT. Nike's motto lol.

Well in all alteration in my current life, I am making myself remember, to be strong at heart and mind. And not to fall into traps like TV, Alcohol, Lazyness etc's. But sometimes its alright. But I'll never drink tho. Just cause I want to take care of my body and health.

I mean victory doesn't come easy for anyone. If you really want something, keep your eyes on your goal, in my situation, I want to be a Fashion Designer and a Business Entrepreneur, Thats my main goal. And my goal this year is to get a way to stay in New Zealand, able to permanently and not to worry about not having a home.

And if about my relationship. I'll put a stop to it. Remembering when that person came into my life, I have never realised he brought any good to me, but I'm not saying he brought anything bad. He lead me to NZ, where here I am starting to feel a sense of belonging and charmed by NZ and the people i meet. I love all of them to earth and would never trade this experience of part of this phase in my life for anything in the world. I am really truly gratified by the blessed and abundance of life I've received here. Thank you for reading this, thank you for being a part of my journey. Striving and striving for victory.

A fact is that on earth, the successfull people who are blessed and happily beaten up with the abundace stick, has worked hard all their life, and i think they are happy even though they work hard, at the end of the day, they are grateful for the nourishment they have worked very hard for. I mean this are the people who are victorious. Who has ambitions and dreams, and they worked for it, but they still juggle a lot of other responsibilities in their hands as well.

Choosing people who you want to hang with is also important to create your own atmosphere. I mean like peers, colleagues, friends, family. If you are surrounded by people who are musicians, you become a musicians, if its a group of mathematicians, you'll be great at maths. And I'm hanging out and chillin with a successful and happy people, who don't care about all the $$$ and the latest and newest. They make their own happiness.

So, how about you, have you got a story to share?

Hoping for the goodness to come through everyone~

Inspire me Buttons!

the picture above gave me an idea of old sailors? or modern urban-ee sailor ? i might combine those two different buttons and use them in a garment like a skirt perhaps. we'll see how it goes.

I am planning to use the buttons above. which feels so cold it "coolens*" my palm when its in my hand. (*is ther such word as coolens?*) I think It might be carved stone or something. Marble maybe?

I intend to use the buttons in cardigan making, Like use 3 in each cardigan. I saw a ribbed blue fabric. Its so pretty I'm going to see if it is still there tomorrow. Hopefully yes alright!

Pajama Pants

I made new pajama pants in celebration of moving to a new flat! These is how I start off and I am wearing it now. Comfyyy.

In the darkness of the 3rd of Feb 2009 , 12.03am
