Don't Break my Yolk

Funny title that. :D Was cooking and only needed the white egg, so was putting aside the yolk on its shell. Didn't break it and it looks cute so Here is the picture !

Funny Picture on Monday :)

YKK Finalist 08. David Longshaw. Fashion.

David Longshaw starts his Education :

2005-2007: MA in Fashion Design Womenswear, Royal College of Art, UK 2002-2005: BA (hons) in Fashion Design Womenswear, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, UK2001-2002: BTEC Diploma in Foundation Art and Design, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK

These is his sketches for the competition it is called "A Gardening Nightmare"

"Concept

A GARDENING NIGHTMAREA.S.B.O. is the acronym for Anti-Social Behaviour Order, a civil order which is given to citizens who are accused of anti-social behaviours such as theft, intimidation, drunkenness... "ASBO's" are therefore people who have been accused of these crimes. An ASBO fashion style has also been identified. David's collection is a fusion between ASBO chic and Elizabethan corsetry, with cascading, spiralling pleats falling like petals over the garments. The collection was inspired by the illustrated story that David created specially for this project."

Cute interesting informative variety of choices to use with your creations

What is YKK?

Tells you all there. I want to join too!!! Hmm :D

Annah Sheldon : Shoe Designer & Film Maker win YKK Competition

For all you out there who have heard of YKK at the back of your mind. Let me tell you what it is. Cause I also just too found out, after thinking just a bit of YKK. You see zips? Most of the time there are these 3 Capital Alphabets on the zipper. YKK. It is actually a Global Brand Company that produces zips , that you can just pop things together to make it stick and make new things! Here is Annah Sheldon with her movie, which won her an award from YKK.

Very funky her design and movie is damn interesting. So here is her Interview, which explains everything about the movie and what inspires her.

Daniele Controversio

Have you heard of him? I haven't. But news to me that he was Alexander McQueen's Assistant.

"9-12/2001: Assistant to Alexander Mc Queen, London, United Kingdom" quoted from http://www.itsweb.org/jsp/en/itstalentsdata/talentID_22.jsp

The picture below is his Fashion Project.

Its supposed to do with some Irony?

"Daniele presents 'The Irony of Fashion - an intimate procession for an extraordinary courting'; the concept of his collection is based on the universe of the 'Freaks' Show' as well as on that of the Fashion Styling mania that nowadays pervades magazines and photo shoots where everything is based on luxury accessories which, contemporaneously, according to him, transform models into ugly monsters: Monsters of the present against monsters of the past then. The collection presents 3 menswear and 5 womenswear outfits." From http://www.itsweb.org/jsp/en/collectiondata/collectionID_1_talentID_22_conctype_0.jsp

Well I guess to make a Fashion Show a Freak Show is highly understated. Don't you think it's not a Freak Show already when the skinny girls / fashion models collapsed right there and then at the catwalk? This happened like in 2006 or 2007. Zandra Rhodes had a model fell at the catwalk years and years ago, the shoe that was worn by the model is in a museum in London. Talking about model figurines. Bones, unflattering figures slips into a dress that is supposed to be highly elegent and couture? Is that pretty or monstrosity? Yuck.

I have no Idea really, His project doesn't seem to make sense to me. Wait I think I get it. He's just being ironic yeah. Freak shows as Fashion Shows. It brings the monsters out of everybody in the Fashion World really. Tough Man. Lol.

VINTAGE vs RETRO
Having dealt in both vintage and retro fabrics over the years, it has come to my notice that not many people are aware of what the words mean. to look it up in the Cambridge dictionary, the word 'vintage' has the following explanation:of high quality and lasting value, or showing the best and most typical characteristics of a particular type of thing, especially from the past:that's right folks, the past is the key word here.

Vintage fabrics cover those which come from a different time/era, eg. vintage 60s/ vintage 40s, etc. The fabric or item has to be produced in the time it supposedly comes from.

"retro" on the other hand means: looking at or copying the past; similar to styles, fashions, etc. from the pastThe key words here are: copying and similar, meaning that retro items/pieces are NOT the original. Retro items=COPIES of vintage items.

There seems to be much confusion between the two, that I have noticed and consumers are often NOT AWARE of the difference, allowing themselves to get ripped off of copies which they believe to be original and therefore vintage!

I often wonder if even the people handling these items are aware of the difference!

Flowerdrum bags use both vintage AND retro fabrics and it is clearly stated which is which; Flowerdrum Deluxe items are produced from VINTAGE fabric and are priced accordingly, while the Tropical range often includes retro fabrics at a much cheaper price.

Each Deluxe item comes in a limited quantity, with a maximum of 6 pieces as vintage fabrics are rare and getting rarer by the day!So, if it's a particular style you are looking for but can't find, then retro is fun but if you are looking for real classic designs, vintage is the way to go!

The Perfect Sewing Machine for a Fashionista!

I'm looking for the perfect sewing machine to be loyal to for around 10 years that is good performing machine for sewing garments. Requirements are auto-manual, footstepper that speeds up when you press it slightlier, umm, what else is there, well see through bobbin place is good, so i know when the thing is running out.

I basically want something like my mum's she has a Singer she bought like around 10 years ago. She said it was expensive. Maybe thats why she does'nt wanna give it to me. Sigh. Anywayy, Its a good old Singer that has its plastic cover, and etc's.

I was wondering if any of you guys have idea's on a perfect machine for sewing garments. Im good with machines, so basic stuff doesn't cut it. I was thinking if I can get one of those industrial machine, but i have no idea about the options.

What I really need to get is a Sewing Machine which helps me to work with garments, delicate stufff like silks, and also denim's, gentle and hardcore. I'm thinking of getting Singer but to tell you the truth it looks crappier. Even my mum's old one looks darn good and brand new than their plastical buttons. Some of / Lots of Singer's stuff now is yucky and looks like you can break it in a punch >.<

Husqvarna's been told it's good, Bernina, read around its good, Singer old ones are damn good, Pfaff I kinda like Pfaff, saw one I liked, and Janome is my last option, I really want something sturdy, and will be waiting for some replies!

Help nebody?

Take Minutes - wikiHow

How to Take Minutes

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

So, you were just elected secretary of that board you sit on? How do you complete the most important part of your job, the writing of the minutes?
They are a record of what was decided and proposed. Many secretaries give themselves too much work by inserting far too much detail in the minutes. This wikiHow will teach you how to take, prepare and present minutes according to the legislative bible, Robert's Rules of Order.

Steps

  1. Bring a notebook or laptop with you. Make sure that it is something you are comfortable working with. If you will be writing minutes often, it may be advisable that you buy a decent book rather than taking your son's "Winnie The Pooh" binder. Also, it is advisable that you have a good pen. Some seasoned secretaries would also suggest using a pencil instead.
  2. Head a paper with columns for name and contact information. Put a note on the top of the page indicating that the paper should be returned to you. Pass it around the table, as soon as the chairperson calls the meeting to order. You will be able to refer to this record in order to document attendance.
  3. Call The Meeting To Order The president will say "At 6:00PM on Friday, February the 21st, 2007, I call the meeting to order." Note on your piece of paper the time the meeting was called to order.
  4. Read The Agenda Since you are the secretary, you will have prepared a draft agenda. The president will ask you to read it. After you have done that say "I move the adoption of this agenda. Note on your piece of paper that the draft agenda was read and that you moved for adoption (no seconder is needed). Note either motion carried or motion failed.
  5. Read the Draft Minutes The president should ask you to read the minutes from your last meeting. It is essential that you have them with you. They can be distributed beforehand or you can read them right there and then. After you are done say "I move for the adoption of these draft minutes." No seconder is required. Note who made the motion and note either motion carried or motion failed.
  6. Listen to the Other Reports After that the treasurer and some committees may have a report to make. Make sure at the end of the meeting, they give you a copy of their report. Note who read them, and whether the motion either carried or failed.
  7. Record the Old Business This is anything that needed a follow up from last meeting. Did someone need to write a letter? Was it sent? Note anything that was done or not done and by whom.
  8. Record the New Business When someone has an issue to address they will make a motion. For example "I move to give 100$ to the editors of this wikiHow." It is important that you write down the exact words!
  9. Note who made motions, seconded motions and whether or not they passed or failed. Also, write down who has to do what.
  10. Note what time the meeting adjourned.
  11. Write down any points of order, points of information, etc.
  12. Leave out unimportant detail. If an amendment is made, you do not have to write that someone proposed making an amendment. Just make sure, if it is passed, that it is in the main motion when you write it down.
  13. Make Sure You Have Everything You Need After The Meeting Adjourns
    • Who sent regrets?
    • Who was there?
    • All the reports.
    • Location of the meeting.

  14. Type up the minutes. Don't put in it "Member A said he did not agree." or "The treasurer gave an excellent report." You must not put the debate into the minutes. Even if you spend 3 hours debating something, only put who made the motion, the exact wording and whether it passed or failed.
  15. Distribute your draft. Once you have typed them, send them out to members. But remember, until they are approved by the organization, they are only draft minutes, subject to change at any time.

Tips

  • It is a good idea to sit as close as possible to the chair of the meeting as this will allow you to hear everything and to ask for clarification without having to raise your voice.
  • Make note not only of the concerns, but also of any accomplishments discussed in the meeting.
  • Write things as they happen. For example, if someone said something about one subject, then you moved on to another issue, but something else happened about the first subject, don't group them together.
  • Make sure you have the correct name spellings, contact email addresses and telephone numbers.
  • Remember, minutes are very important. They are saved and might be referred to for years and years to come. If it is a legal matter, someone's reputation may depend on it.
  • Remember, even though you are taking notes, you may still participate in the debates.
  • Have people write down their motions. This will save you the trouble of having to phrase things so as to meet other's ideas.
  • Read certain parts of Robert's Rules of Order, such as the section on being a secretary.
  • Keep these minutes filed in a safe place.
  • Consider learning shorthand or using a laptop for the taking of the minutes.

Warnings

  • Don't give yourself too much work by putting too much detail in the minutes.
  • Don't be afraid to interrupt and ask for a clarification,.
  • Try and send out copies of the minutes as soon as possible.
  • Type up your draft as soon as possible.

Taking Minutes

How to Take Minutes at a Business Meeting
By eHow Careers & Work Editor

Take good notes
Rate: (108 Ratings)

Business meetings may be conducted formally or informally, depending on the company and the circumstances. Taking good minutes during a business meeting can be a crucial time and headache saver and it's a skill that is greatly appreciated by employers. The following guidelines are based on Robert's Rules of Order.

Instructions
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Portable Tape Recorders
Blank Tapes
Notebook Papers
Computers

Taking Minutes
Step 1:Obtain the meeting agenda, minutes from the last meeting, and any background documents to be discussed. Consider using a tape recorder to ensure accuracy.

Step 2:Sit beside the chairperson for convenient clarification or help as the meeting proceeds.

Step 3:Write "Minutes of the meeting of (exact association name).

Step 4:Record the date, time and place of the meeting.

Step 5:Circulate a sheet of paper for attendees to sign. (This sheet can also help identify speakers by seating arrangement later in the meeting.) If the meeting is an open one, write down only the names of the attendees who have voting rights.

Step 6:Note who arrives late or leaves early so that these people can be briefed on what they missed.

Step 7:Write down items in the order in which they are discussed. If item 8 on the agenda is discussed before item 2, keep the old item number but write item 8 in second place.

Step 8:Record the motions made and the names of people who originate them.

Step 9:Record whether motions are adopted or rejected, how the vote is taken (by show of hands, voice or other method) and whether the vote is unanimous. For small meetings, write the names of the attendees who approve, oppose and abstain from each motion.

Step 10:Focus on recording actions taken by the group. Avoid writing down the details of each discussion.

Transcribing Minutes

Step 1:Transcribe minutes soon after the meeting, when your memory of the event is still fresh.

Step 2:Follow the format used in previous minutes.

Step 3:Preface resolutions with "RESOLVED, THAT..."

Step 4:Consider attaching long resolutions, reports or other supplementary material to the minutes as an appendix.

Step 5:Write "Submitted by" and then sign your name and the date.

Step 6:Place minutes chronologically in a record book.

Tips & Warnings
You do not need to record topics irrelevant to the business at hand. Taking minutes is not the same as taking dictation.
Consult only the chairperson or executive officer, not the attendees, if you have questions.
The person taking minutes does not participate in the meeting.

Poem Day Sunday 2#

I'm trapped inside this shell

I cry unvoluntarily

I crusts the heart inside

See what I have been

I am remorsed

I am in doubt

I have lost my faith

I have to regain

I miss times

and moments

where it has been

only peace

and serenity

takes over me

when I pray

To cry when I prostrate

To be humble as the ground and dirt

To have faith again

So long as there is.

Civic Square in Wakefield St

Today we ventured to the city gallery in civic square. Theres a ball of metal fern in the middle of the civic square. That was cool. For me wellington seems to look like its a advanced art city, everywhere you look there are art objects displayed. It seems like its the most creative capital in the country but I might think that even other regions in New Zealand has their own creative arts in each own. Take for example the thumb in Nelson Public Library. That's one.

Blog-O-Rama

Okay, i feel like writing something longer something like a diary. is it safe for people to blog and write it like a diary? what happens when someone stalks you through your blog and you end up dead the next day? Murder through blog I should say. Where does privacy line stops in the 21st Century? As much as you can stop? or as much as that person can dig? The use of internet has made a lot of people linked. To anyone or anything. like a web. Put down a name in google in a correct way and you can find their profile details and even more, maybe some phone numbers and address and pictures too.

See, the internet is another world here, cyber world. It consists of 2D images or 3D, 4D or in what ever dimensions these IT tech people have discovered. You can touch your screen, but you can't touch the objects in the screen. Its a TV World which you can interact. And the subjects in that world can interact back with you. Like MSN Messenger. Its also a portal to make friends. Through Facebooks, Myspace and Friendster. Its a platform for business, to reach gaps within north and south end of the world.

What I think we should start doing is that try and reach other galaxies using frequencies. How about linked all the connections in the world to a set frequency, boom it off the satellite and into the space. And see what you can interact with. A crazy idea , but if you put your mind to it, very possible. its like making earth a giant satellite, a communicating planet besides what mercury is known for, to seek attention from other galaxies. Try capture interests from aliens? WHo invented the word Alien anyway? We should find that out. How did they get to know that "alien" is out there? Might be alien is just alike to human.

I'll let you figure that out, watching simpsons.
Mwahaha

Well now I'm hopping from a topic to the next. Back to real world here.

BTW, didn't get the Teddy Position

Yep it says it all in the title

Temporary Angels

I had an early morning start sending my CV's off to a lot of recruitment agencies. And one gave me a call!

Had an interview there, took a speed typing test, I scored 60wpm! and I got 91% and 83% for Microsoft Word and Excel Test.

The jobs that was to be offered is inclining towards Office tasks admins, etc.

Here's a picture of The Folder I've gotten. I have to complete the forms in it and be back there tomorrow. I'm hitching a ride with him on his way to work to send me off to The Terrace. May be stop by Adecco, and GBL Personnel, go see Helen from Ultimate Recruitment for position to work Full Time with Karen Walkers and go get myself some form's from Immigration >.<

I'm registered with Temporary Angels. Cute name and they are also pet-loving! They donated for SPCA, which houses a lot of homeless pets to be adopted. So nice of 'em! I believe I'm in the right clique, if with them. Cause they seem good. Judging by characters yep. Well I forgotten to bring my work visa today thats why I needed to go back and update my profile with them. Yep. So tomorrow at 8 AM, I would be a wee bit of early. But doesnt matter. Better early than late!

Vaseline Blinged

Vaseline Bling-ed ?
Here was what I found out interesting today while watching the tyra show. Went to her blog and read her journal.

Fortunately for everyone that went to her show had gotten a bling bling jar of vaseline! But amongs all that blingin, it was still a regular jar of vaseline. Each jar that was given out was worth $100 ! Why? Its because they were all hand beaded with Swarovski crystals!
The bling bling version was first made when the Vaseline found out Tyra was a fan of it, and they made it for her, Sweet huh?

Well lets google up what we can find the use of vaseline.
removing stains from furnitures?
lip gloss I have heard, but Mascara? Anyone wanna try it on your lashes?
use vaseline for a glow. after applying u make-ups and then put it on all over your face. that's wat it said, well

"For the camera, we apply a light foundation/concealer as needed, and then a light layer of vaseline over the whole face. For us regular folk? Try spot applying. Like just on the eye bones, or eyebrows, tops of cheekbones, or across forehead, down the nose and across chin....you know, for that I've been glowing all day look." from http://beauty-makeup-tips.blogspot.com/2007/04/use-vaseline-for-glow.html

"The benefits of petroleum jelly or Vaseline are well known. It is an excellent lubricant, it can be used as a coating to prevent substances from adhering to surfaces and can be used to slide out tight rings. Vaseline, however, can also be used by many as a basic first aid item that can help minor irritations and problems."

So whenever your wedding ring is stuck, stuff ur finger in vaseline and pull it out, as easy as that! :D

"It helps to eliminate lice, by smothering and snuffing out the lice, when thickly applied to the scalp, when nothing else works." from http://naturalmedicine.suite101.com/article.cfm/the_many_uses_of_petroleum_jelly

Anybody with lice? or kittie lice or puppy lice? Go fetch vaseline! Make 'em glow!!! Spread all over your pet and protect everyone at home with leece! it works ;)

For me I use vaseline when my lips are chapped, when my elbow is dry, legs, what else? have'nt use it for mascara though : Not gonna try anywhere near soon.

Ta for now!

Day Moon & Night Moon

Moon Day & Night

Human Rights

About human rights
Human rights matter, and affect the lives of each and every one of us. Every person has inherent dignity and value. Human rights recognise our freedom to make choices about our life and develop our potential as human beings. Human rights deal with how people relate to one another. They are about how we live together: about our responsibilities to each other. Respect for each other's rights helps diverse groups to share New Zealand in harmony. In particular, these rights set a basis for the relationship between the individual and the State, between the governed and those who govern.
But responsibility to respect human rights extends well beyond the State, to regional and local government, to the business and community sectors, to voluntary groups and organisations. Each and every one of us has a duty to exercise our rights responsibly and to acknowledge and respect the rights of others.

What are human rights?
Human rights represent common values drawn from the world's diverse spiritual, religious, humanist, political and cultural beliefs. They underlie our expectations about life, education, health, work, our personal security, equal opportunity and fair treatment, and our systems of government.
Human rights are inherent, inalienable, universal, indivisible and interdependent. They are inherent, in that they belong to everyone because of their common humanity. They are inalienable, in that people cannot give them up or be deprived of them by governments. They are universal, in that they apply regardless of distinctions such as race, sex, language or religion. They are indivisible, in that no right is superior to another. They are interdependent, in that realisation of one right contributes to the realisation of other rights.

Monday Blues

So here I am, its 4 hours since I've woken up.

Still waiting for a phonecall.
Still hoping for a job.
Still hoping for survival.
Still hoping, and believing.

What can I do rather than still hoping and hoping and moping around like a child in a flat which is so tiny and has nothing else in it other than a TV, and my laptop. What else am I to do?

I want to work! I want to DO SOMETHING! Something really PRODUCTIVE. I am never without something to do! I always want to do something!

I miss working so much, It gives me a filling , this fulfillness in life, to have a job, a career, if I was back in KL, I could have gotten a raise!!! 1.8K for a monthly salary is not bad in Malaysian Standards. Argh, Maybe I'll go back to KL if seriously New Zealand people really can't see how they are losing a perfect employee. I mean I never ever suck at doing work. I always do my best. And I always expect good things. I always take up a challenge, unless its boring and I don't want to do it. However much I am trying, I think I have to keep trying. No giving up, until you cant do anything else but faint. Well that's extreme I s'pose, but seriously honestly I want a JOB!!! I hate not working.

How can everyone in New Zealand, aka the Employers see from a CV that I'm not good enough to be given a chance. Its their loss I s'pose. I wonder how much my colleague back at my ex company I worked at been going. The last customer I got her gave her like 20grand deposit for doing their curtains and etc all that. See? Im not that bad in handling customers, Instead I can get tonnes of customers. Its all about honestly and services. Understanding the value of providing the best.

Gosh, seriously, I talked to my partner, I explained to him why Im crippling up with trying to find work, just because everyone here wants a permanent, and I can't take permanent!!! Oh god, i explained to him, its like a Ball of Light, that consists of my youth juices, like an orb, its fainting, deeply, its losing its light, im losing my soul trying so hard to stay positive about trying to find a job in New Zealand. Its not like im disabled. Even a disabled people can get a job. So why can't I? Honestly.

This is making me feel damn sad. I want a job. I want to work. And I want to start a life. And I want Aaron to stop being frustrated about agencies toying him around. I want both of us to start a good life. Just settle in, get a job, get a good job both of us love. And having a chance to start a good life.

Honestly the pressure of trying to find a job is awful. Are we like the loser people in New Zealand? Is that why we can't get a grip? We can't get a job??? We are trying so hard. I'm sure that everyone here might be under some Outer-beauty spell. Judging a book by the cover and saying, Nah, he can't do it, she's not "New Zealand" enough. For god's sake I keep trying to stop saying they are racist, but i cant, Are these people racists? I thought New Zealand is a free country, as in peace to all and beyond or what ever unlike the US.

I apologize for saying my opinion in public. But no harm intended.

Well, i guess i have to keep searching, with much hope less. But more.

Peacock Season for Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen in my opinion never goes stale. He keeps coming up with new and very very wonderful interesting designs. He's creativity and he's ambitious projects comes through together all the time to make a wonder show , a man we should applaud for being born on earth. And really, among all designers in the world, For me, He is the only one who uses his brain often to seek for in-earth-ideas.

in-earth-ideas : seeking what is already there, in front of you, without trying to scrap fashion magazines, but to live with the things you are surrounded with. or even, open the encyclopedia and start brain-storming!

He is the one that incorporates idea's with the habitants in this world. Taking maginificent creatures and objects to be apart of fashion.

I have the same concept. For designers out there taking drugs and alchohols to be high and find your inner-self to design something great, to be the next Giorgio Armani, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Hussein Chalayan, or even the next Alexander McQueen, I advise you not to do so. It never helps, even though my lecturer told me stories about so and so, I really dont think you should. It takes real talent to do anything without relying on any substance. Seriously.

Without yapping too much any more, please admire Lee's Fall Collection.

I love the peacock lace sewn on this piece.
The motive is just to die for. Nice combination, Perfect.
Ooh, and tulles! I love tulles. Imagine the tulles like feathers!
Look at how the rest of the black lace fall.

Look at those lacey shoes! Marvelous.
Lee works well with lace's. I wonder how he makes it. Either some machine or handstitch.. Hmm?
Okay look at the motives from the top to hip length, it looks to me like its bird's feet.
Who-ever thought of that?! Genious! Look at te knitted head scarf, Cosy AND Warm.

Admiring it.

Sketch Day Sunday

Well today I'm going to sketch something. Full figure model. And my latest design. But bad thing is that you can't see them. Because, words travel fast. I hate people who steals designers designs. Unless they come up with it at the same time.

I think I share a great deal of the same thoughts with Alexander McQueen. I see that his latest Fall 08 has one of a few stuff that I sketched last year. Well maybe it's just coincidental. But honestly, when you think about it, everything happens for a reason. Totally.

I really think that If I can nurture myself, to work harder to gain what I really want to achieve, I can be good enough as Alexander McQueen, but pardon me for being too ambitious without achieving anything yet. I do hope that I kick my arse to work. I'm the person who needs to be pushed to get going.

Hence I'm the only person who can rely on myself, If you dont care about yourself, how can the others care about you? Loving myself, I guess is a step to achieve my goals in Life. And Determination, Integrity, Hard-Willingness, Aim, Proceed, and Shoot!

In a few years to come hope I score my goals, DNA. ISA.

Newtown Fair Wellington 2nd March 08

NEWTOWN FAIR 2ND MARCH 2008

Roads were closed on main street Riddiford to allow pedestrians to linger around in the Fair.
It started 'round 6 am to and finishes around 8 pm.
Although we went out for about 2 hours or less, reaching there at 12 noon, lots of people, and lucky me and anyone who brought caps or hoodies or even better, umbrella's. Rain was spitting on the fair a bit through-out. Just for a while.
I did saw some fabrics I'd love to have a look at, but Too much nana's around flicking about the boxes filled with Fabrics. Not much access to it cause of its strategically put under a table. And it was pact, and I MEAN PACTed!

2nd March 2008

This is me, we were waiting for the bus to go back home. There was a fair in Newtown. A lot of stuff going on. Musics, Foods, Shopping, Well good thing is that I got a new pendant, He got it for me, its Bloodstone, it helps to do something with my chakra's.

bloodstone n : green chalcedony with red spots that resemble blood
or;
Bloodstone \Blood"stone`\, n. (Min.)
(a) A green siliceous stone sprinkled with red jasper, as if
with blood; hence the name; -- called also
heliotrope.
(b) Hematite, an ore of iron yielding a blood red powder or
``streak.''

Bloodstone meaning in folklore
Bloodstone is considered a powerful healing stone with many magical properties. In ancient folklore, bloodstone was said to give off audible sounds as a guide. It gives one the ability to banish evil and negativity of all kinds.

Mystical power: Bloodstone is used to help one become more knowledgeable in the ways of the world. Bloodstone is also believed to be a very magical stone.

These up there aren't exactly what I was looking for the explanation, but there goes. Im still searching for the tasks of the stone. To help with irritative? etc etc, stuff that I am merely addicted to be/ do.

Look at the circular pendant on my neck, and thats bloodstone. got it for NZD15.
Here's a picture of it

It was an interesting day.

Signing out,

Minrose.

Poem Day Saturday 1#

I seek through the tunnels

Humbling searching

For lay I pray by day

Nighttime it strays

Soon the search was over

When journey continues

to hunt me down

is over

Dolphin Rescues Stranded Whales

Agence France-Presse - 3/12/2008 7:02 AM

Dolphin rescues stranded whales: conservation official
A dolphin guided two stranded whales to safety after human attempts to keep the animals off a New Zealand beach failed, a conservation official said Wednesday.
"I've never heard of anything like this before, it was amazing," Conservation Department officer Malcolm Smith said.
The actions of the dolphin, well known locally for playing with swimmers at Mahia beach on the east coast of the North Island, probably meant the difference between life and death for the whales, Smith told AFP.
Smith had been working for over an hour and a half to save the two pygmy sperm whales which had repeatedly become stranded despite his attempts to push them back out to sea.
A bottlenose dolphin, named Moko by locals, appeared and guided the whales to safety after apparently communicating with them, Smith said.
The whales, a three-metre (10-foot) female and her 1.5 metre male calf, were apparently confused by a sandbar just off the beach and could not find their way back to open water.
Smith had been alerted at daybreak on Monday by a neighbour about the two stranded whales on Mahia beach near his home.
"Over the next hour and a half I pushed them back out to sea two or three times and they were very reluctant to move offshore," Smith said.
"I was starting to get cold and wet and they were becoming tired. I was reaching the stage where I was thinking it's about time to give up here, I've done as much as I can."
In that situation, whales are often humanely killed to end their suffering.
Smith said Moko arrived on the scene and he could hear the whales and the dolphin making noises, apparently to one another.
"The whales made contact with the dolphin and she basically escorted them about 200 metres (yards) parallel with the beach to the edge of the sandbar.
"Then she did a right-angle turn through quite a narrow channel and escorted them out to sea.
"There's been no sign of the whales since Monday, they haven't restranded."
"What the communication was I do not know, and I was not aware dolphins could communicate with pygmy sperm whales, but something happened that allowed Moko to guide those two whales to safety."
Moko has become famous for her antics at Mahia, which include playing in the surf with swimmers, approaching boats to be patted and pushing kayaks through the water with her snout.
Such close interaction with humans is rare among dolphins but not unknown. "She's become isolated from her pod obviously for one reason or another, but obviously made Mahia home just at the moment."
Mahia gets up to 30 whale strandings a year, most of which end with the whales having to be put down.
"I don't know if next time we have a whale stranding we can get her to come in again. She certainly saved the day for us and the whales this time."

a Great story I'd like to share with you all~

May Kurus Rest in Peace (2001 - 2nd March 2008)

KURUS (2001 - 2nd MARCH 2008)

I got news that my Cat aged 8 years old have passed. He was always nice and shy and strong, never violent and very loving.

I remember the last time i pet him, he was really sick, and I told my dad that if he dies, I hope he wrap kurus my kitty in my baby clothes, or my clothes i left behind. That was in october or november.

I love my kurus so much, and I really hope he dies peacefully. He was always nice to me and I hope he forgives me when i always use him as a pillow. He was fat, but he began losing weight a LOT, and i knew he was going to leave soon.

I love the way kurus sleep all over me when i sleep in bed. He use to sleep beside my feet, he use to lean on my hand on top of my covers, and one time he even sleep on my pillow just above my head. He was furry and cuddle and I miss him so much.

I first got him when i was 12 or 13, 2000 or 2001,
It was the day after a field trip at a water logy, there were two cats my mom brought back. Got them from my cousin. I was always the one that named the cats in the house, so I named one of them kurus and the next gemuk (means fatty) the fatty one was full brown/ginger. He was missing and rumor is that he got ran over by a car and the trashman told my mom that he did saw a cat like that died.

(This is them when they were younger maybe 2002 2003 My favourite photo. On the left is gemuk and the right is kurus) Love them to bits

And kurus is the one with a white stripe on his head with deep ginger border around the white stripes and yellow eyes with cute cheeks. *my tendencies to pinch his cheekies, he was fat

And his legs and hind legs had ginger stripes and mostly white, his upper body was ginger and his lower body was white. He stayed with us for a long time. If im not mistaken it was 2001.

Kurus (2001-2nd March 2008) Love you to death sweetie

From your darling Me

And Aaron got me 4 teddybears when he visited me once in September 07. :D I named them, the first one was Chocolate, cause it had Ferrero Roche with it, yummie! And the next was, Kissie, hehe its a blue and pink whale, we got this at a garment shop. and the next was our last day together, I got him a yellow beanie of M'sia and he got me a black beanie teddy of Kiwi saying Kia Ora. SO Cute!

And the most precious ones was Sayang, it means love in Malay, we first got it together at another Memory Lane Giftshop. But he wanted to surprise aka wrap it all nice and pretty before giving it to me. He lost it on the way back to his place.

I cried a lot cause he lost a teddy. Yea childish, i know. But the most miracle thing happened, we found the exact same kind of teddy at another Mall when we were having our last day together. That was a Moment to Remember EVER! He pulled me to the corner and show me the teddy he lost the days before, and I squeled in happiness and hugged him, and there he go being corny and sweet hugging me back and started to swing and dance right when our song became our song! The Bangles were playing Eternal Flame in the audio-speakers at the store. I became shy ehehe. It was really sad and happy and relief at the same time.

Make Compassion Your Fashion

I just ran into this site which tells me how horrific the trade industry for fashion has going on to obtaining fur.

Its all around the world, Asia, Canada, Europe.

All sorts of animals are brutally killed just for their furs.
Anal electrocuting for fox, is it worth it ? 3 month old baby seals is killed with wooden clubs?

There is a video I would like you to see, to tell you the truth it shocked me to core to see such cruelty being done to animals.

http://stream.realimpact.net/?file=realimpact/hsus/e-community/fur_with_jay.wmv&type=wmv

It's time to be civilised, the world has gone a great change since before civilisation. Human used to wear skins and furs to protect their body, right this second lots of organic materials are made to supply us with our clothes. Cotton is a major part of our daily wear now.

Why not just stick to Cotton?

We dont need furs anymore. We are far too civilised to slaughter seals and other animals for their furs. Why cant we step forward to all fashion design houses that are still buying furs off animal-slaughters all around the world. It is a step to stop killing without any reason to,
Say NO FUR FOR FASHION.
